Gordon Halfpenny has just emailed me to let me know that his annual bead fair is running again on 29th April - a Sunday - at Haydock Park Racecourse. For those of you who think Gordon's name sounds familiar, he used to run a coffee and embroidery shop in Clitheroe along with his late wife. I have very fond memories of tea, cakes and goldwork requirements there!!
However, back to the show - it's called Beads Up North and runs 10-4 on just the one day - there is a charge to get in with the regular amount being around £3.50 with concessions for guild members etc.
Beads really aren't easy to locate at the moment and to get any sort of choice is quite rare, so if you're 'up north' over that weekend it may be worth a look.
